So, what is it ilike to say no to a close frien? Well pretty lousy. Usually when we were young and we were close friends we used to say the usual crap.
Yeah if you are in a fight, I will fight that guy, if I am in t afight , you fight that guy. We never fought. We always were the use your mouth types instead. There were fights going on all around us but not with us
So now I am supposed to say yes to teaching his child but I can’t. I don’t have the materials, I left them in Japan. I was a great teacher in Japan. famous. Well liked, great curriculum. teaching is very connected to curriculum and I had the great stuff. I managed to bump into one of the greatest schools in Japan Matsuka Phonics Institute. They are great in my opinion becuase they teach English in a way that makes sense to Japanese children and carries their dignity. Not like some other internatioal curriculums who just wan the money and are written for no one and anyone who has got a buck. This school loves the children it teaches.
So what is it ilike to say no toa close friend? Lousy. Either I keep my wife, and lose my friend, or lose my wife and keep my friend. I hope you would say keep your wife. After all, a wife is a close friend too. She put up with all your crap all your life. and was loyal to you and helped you when you neeeded rescue.
A wife trusts you.
A wife saves yoour life not heroically like a man in a fight on a bus wehre the guy probably has aknife and you better watch him. A wife saves lyour life constantly every day.
So lt is lousy to say no to afrirend, however, lousier to lose a wife.
This is Sunderland, a town in Durham North Ontario. It is definitely farm country when you are here. Lots of farmers, rough hands, hard work, and early mornings
I used to actually be a popular teacher in Japan. So I try to remember the people that I left behind in Japan and pray for them. i try to pray for my students that God will bless them and try to pray specifically for each one that I can remember.
If you ever get a chance, go to Japan, you won’t regret it.
I downloaded the new Corel Draw program trial and designed a easy bath Logo. It was fun to design. The water mark at the to is supposed to be a rain drop and the world.
I painted a bunch of these chairs. They are Muskoka Chairs and the idea is that you sit at the end of the dock as you sip a drink and try to do nothing. So this is the coolest chair of the buch, note the built in coffee cup holder. I have seen these chairs in plastic, but that is just wrong. Not a venial, a mortal.
I painted a basement. The owner told me to try and get the feeling of Monet’s farm in europe. I had looked at a lot of impressionaist paintings so I tried to get that feelling while I painted. It was fun to paint it. Too bad, looking for new projects.
I painted a boat for my friend.
It is a tribute to Mondrian, and his famous painting New York Boogie Woogie. i thought It would kind of feel like a party with all that colour on it. I really enjoyed doing that project because it was my idea translated into reality.
New Theme: Ideation & Intent.
Let me describe ten reasons why my own father is the best father on the earth.
God, is the best father in heaven.
Here are the ten.
Yes, when I dived into a swiimming pool as an infant thinking water is walkable, he dived in and got me out.
He does what he wants. Yet still keeps people with him.
He worked enough to keep us having electricity, lights, and also a house. so we could study. eat, sleep in the rain and stay dry. (Idea from Chris Rock, http://www.youtube.com )
He was the captain of the Boys Brigade and got Boys togehter, and then got them going to church.
He flew over to see me in Asia and also in Japan. With Japan, he brought my mother, and we travelled together.
He creates new stuff every day.
He constantly teaches me how to do carpentry, farming, weed, small tool stuff, drive a tractor. and I could go on.
I went to Asia as a missionary. and if you have gone, you know you didn’t get supported by churches. Only the director did. Sorry but that is what it is . Thanks for going. However, when I came back my biggest supporterr was still, waiit for it.
He knows how to live. How to have joy. How to tell jokes.
I love my father. And I still don’t understand where my mother went. I was looking at her in the hospital, for a while there, and then, she was gone. I believe that she went to heaven, but to have a human on the earth, and then for that human NOT to be on the eath, is to me quite difficult fo figure out.
I think like Kazuma one of my students when he saw 9-11 on TV. After watching it, I asked him in front of his mother , what he thought. He told us the most common sense thing I have heard about 9 -11. “I don’t believe it. ”
The Most Powerful Thing About You.
Mark, Stephen Des. Are you having a good summer? Is it getting hot? Are you hosting short term missionaries? I am just trying to paint, since a friend of mine in Seattle told me to paint. Good opportunities. I thought I would try and write you a letter based on the Lord’s prayer to … Continue reading
Love is in Sagamihara Japan.
There is sunshine there.
And the sounds of people talking together happily, like birds.
Also there is hope. Hope that things will be better.
so You can find love where you find love, and hope and people talking together.
Don’t go looking other places, it isn’t there. 🙂 It is where someone is making a sacrifice of their life and lying on the pavement. And his friends are looking at him in horror because they are his friends and they are getting ready to go running out and run and get him and drag him back to that pavement.
and then they also get hit with sniper fire and fall on the pavement.
But at least they loved. They loved that guy and they did what they could. They didn’t leave him lying on the pavement even though he told them, forget about it. Jsut keep going. No they didn’t leave him hanging in the wind, hanging out to dry.
They went and got him.
So where you find friends like that, don’t be a fool like me and leave them. Stay with them. that is where love is, Sagamihara, Where people laugh, and talk and have fun, and the sun shines and there is hope and God’s love blows in like a long long wave on a beautiful beach.
And at night there is a fire at the beach and someone has a guitar and people are plalying a laughing and eating and singing.
We shoulda won. Give the ref glasses is the vibe coming out of Canada.
Delicious, The coffee to be, the coffee to be seen with.
Canada, Ontario, Manitoulin Island.
According to this first nations, native/Indian/origina person guy I heard at harbourfront,
no one used to live on Manitoulin island. THis is actually not the island, however, I was leaving there when I took this shot.
I want to go on a picnic every day with my wife . Sitting on the red and white chequered table cloth, and drinking wine, and laughing loudly to scare the other picnicers and the bad guys. and here is the poem that I would tell her. Life is hard, But love gives life
